My second to last call today was one of the best I’ve gotten in a long time. The caller was having trouble installing certificates in her browser, and I had just helped her navigate to the “Options” menu item in Exploiter. I then invited the charming young woman on the other end of the phone to go to the “Content” tab and look for a slider control that was marked Low (Security) at the bottom, and High at the top.

Let’s face it: you probably visit this site once a day, at least. Whether it’s timely news, topical punditry, or pictures of my drop-dead gorgeous wife, you’ve come to expect and depend upon thornography to make your otherwise lackluster life bearable.
And now it’s payback time. In order to keep the site running, I’m going to have to ask a small donation of you. hard time killing floor blues
The only blues album I’ve ever purchased was the last opus of R.L. Burnside, who died today at age 78 in his hospital bed in Memphis, Tennessee
Great biography of his amazing (but difficult) life here, where he’s described as the “unlikely champion of indie rock”.
I’m sure he’s in heaven, sittin’ down.
