I was halfway through a wry yet poignant and honest reflection on some folly of my youth or another, but, hell man, this is way hella funnier than any semi-literary pap I could ever smear across the Internet.
Tea, chocolate, or cola? Piffle. Coffee? Please. Espresso, energy drinks, caffeine gum? Psh. Stop being such an amateur and stock up now on bulk pure caffeine powder. $155 may seem like a lot for a pound of caffeine, but when you consider that that’s enough caffeine for around 4,500 cups of coffee, I think you’ll have to agree, it’s quite economical. Shouts out to tha h-bomb fo tha 411.
I’m a little late picking this May 3 story up off the wire, but apparently Bob Dylan has been freaking out the kids at his grandson’s elementary school with some impromptu performances. I guess it shouldn’t be all that surprising, but that’s a hell of a sad way for a legend to make headlines.
There comes a point in your Phoenix Down usage where you have to be a sensible adult and admit that your characters just aren’t ready to fight this particular boss.
If the reward is great enough, though, this judgement can be adjusted a little bit. Two or three phoenix downs, sure, ok, that’s a tough boss but not unreasonable. If it’s a side boss with a big weapon/ability/gil reward, I’d be willing to give up maybe six or seven of the life-restoring wonders. Last night, though…I was fighting a dragonish side boss named, yes I’m serious, …
Surely you instantly noticed the beautiful new progress bar I’ve added to the sidebar. I can’t share any of this horrid, complicated and abstruse mess I’m calling writing with anyone for a while yet, but I thought this might be a nice way for interested parties to “be involved” … however minutely. It’s a very rough estimate based on an even rougher estimate of the target size for my first draft, so it should probably be taken with a grain of salt, perhaps two. Oh yeah, wait, maybe I forgot to mention: I’m writing a novel!
Yeah, I know, you totally deserve a meaty post, but what can I say? Real life has been taking up a lot of time (ok and so has Final Fantasy XII but what of it). I just wanted to take a brief pause in my caesura here to point out this particular piece of awesomeness, in case you hadn’t already heard. What more does it take, and what could be a greater show of weakness than the complete inability of a public servant to heed the will of the people? How is pulling out “losing”? What else is …
I kind of started wondering a little while if I was the only one who felt this way, but now it looks like, just over the past 3-4 weeks, more and more people are starting to speak up about the suckage. I ran across this comment from March 30 quite by accident today while looking up something else. It reminded me I hadn’t poked at Google for a couple weeks to see if it knew of any other similar complaints, so poke I did, and wound up discovering quite a few pages from the past few …
