all your books are belong to usToday’s article in Slashdot about how the Harvard Coop prohibited a student from taking notes on book pricing raises a point I make every chance I get, but which is clearly not yet common knowledge. Listen up: the Coop is not an independent bookstore, it’s not a “campus bookstore as opposed to Amazon/B&N or some other chain.” It IS a chain. It’s Barnes & Noble. So is the BU Bookstore, the MIT Coop, the Harvard Medical School Bookstore, and the Dartmouth Co-op. They are Barnes & Noble bookstores that are very carefully managing their own PR to …
